She has just returned from Lanzarote where she took part in the Lanzarote Ultra Triathlon which she used as part of her preparation for her World Record breaking attempt to become the first woman to complete the Arch 2 Arc challenge!

Jason O'Halloran secures podium finish at Croft BSB Meeting

HM Plant Honda rider Jason O’Halloran, who has been working with the team at The Lincoln Sports Injury Clinic throughout the season, secured a classy 2nd place at this weekend’s British Superbike race weekend at Croft Racetrack.

Competing in the highly competitive Superstock 1000 British Championship he finished off a tough weekend of practice and qualifying (he only started P6 on the grid) to gain valuable championship points.

The Superstock 1000 Championship is shaping up to be a 3-horse race already with Jason’s 2 Second place finishes leaving him a close 3rd behind Championship leader Tristan Palmer and the young Danny Buchan.

Round 4 of this year’s Championship moves to the Thruxton Circuit on Bank Holiday Monday 30th May.

Superstock season standings

In its fifth year, the Woodhall Spa Triathlon will be the second event in the Midlands Sprint Series.  Over the past five years this event has grown from under 200 competitors, to 500 competitors in 2010 and is proving ever popular with experienced as well as first-time triathletes.

We caught up with Kevin earlier this week.”Recovering from events is just as crucial a part of an athlete’s program, whether they are professional or amateur, experienced or first-time competitors”, he commented.  “The team from The Lincoln Sports Injury Clinic will be on hand throughout the event for all competitors for FREE post-race sports massages which are aimed at enabling athletes to recover from the event quicker.”  In addition, all competitors will be able to take advantage of discounted Injury Treatment or a Sports Massage at the Lincoln High Street clinic.

We were on hand at the finish to give everyone a quick lactic-acid relieving sports massage and heard many tales of accomplishment both in times achieved and money raised for charity.  A few people came through with injuries, but for the vast majority of over 5000 runners the bright and sunny weather reflected the mood of the crowd at the end.
